ASME STANDARDS FOR DESIGN AND DRAFTING

Apa yang dimaksud dengan ASME standard untuk Design dan drafting? ASME standard ini bertujuan sebagai upaya pengembangan desain dalam perusahaan berbasis model (model-based enterprise), sehingga standar ASME menetapkan skema untuk mengatur 3D - model 3 dimensi dan informasi lainnya yang dikumpulkan secara digital yang tertuang dalam definisi produk agar definisi produk terinformasikan. Standard ASME ini menetapkan mulai dari 3D hingga persyaratan tata letak drawing ke dalam sheet (lembar kertas), skema untuk identifikasi piping system, ketetapan garis dan huruf, ukuran dan format drawing, tampilan (view) drawing, symbol dan singkatan, hingga engineering drawing secara praktis untuk diterapkan.

BOILER AND PRESSURE VESSELS CODE (BPVC)

Apa yang dimaksud dengan ASME standards untuk Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code?

ASME standard ini menetapkan sebagai kaidah-kaidah penting dalam melakukan pekerjaan desain, fabrikasi, dan konstruksi untuk bejana tekanan (pressure vessel). Dengan kaidah-kaidah yang ada di dalam standard ASME BPVC ini  secara rinci dan terurai bagaimana ketetapan yang ditentukan dalam standard ini dalam fabrikasi bejana tekan, mulai dari proses desain, engineering, fabrikasi dan konstruksi dan termasuk juga welding, electrode yang ada di dalamnya, sehingga dalam memproduksi Boiler and Pressure Vessel oleh manufaktur atau fabricator memiliki standar yang sama walaupun dibuat ditempat yang berbeda, akan tetapi dalam hal ini harus diregistrasi, diverifikasi, diinspeksi oleh lembaga Authorised Inspection Agency sebagai penjamin dari kualitas, dan kontrol kualitas dari fabrikator atau manufaktur tersebut.
